SCAPS President John Byrnes, and other staffing industry leaders, have formed a committee which for several weeks has been meeting with state leaders to inform them of the repercussions facing the staffing industry as a result of proposed legislature related to unemployment insurance and changes to the Employment Security Commission.  The Committee has made great strides to change the proposed legislation and it has been decided to hire a lobbying team to further the efforts made by this Committee.  SCAPS has pledged to make a contribution to cover the expenses that will be incurred, as have some individual staffing agencies.  As your voice throughout the state for the staffing industry, SCAPS is doing all it can to communicate the changes necessary to ensure our businesses are not negatively impacted with the new legislation.
